In line with this purpose, the project is designed to evoke the character of traditional Egyptian neighborhood markets. It consists of a main passageway surrounded by arcaded corridors that provide shade and extend the commercial spaces. The passage is divided into courtyards that accommodate both social and local activities.

The project is also designed to be environmentally friendly, from construction methods and materials to sustainable environmental treatments.
