- Located at the gateway of New Cairo’s main business district, Summit 15 is a signature office building developed by Namaa for Development and Real Estate Investment. Completed in 2010, it currently houses the Cairo headquarters of Lafarge, a global leader in building materials.
- The architectural concept draws inspiration from the “wikala”, a historic building type from medieval Islamic cities that functioned as commercial and trade hubs. This influence informed key design elements, including a pronounced entrance “gate” articulated with contrasting materials, a two-story podium that anchors the structure and connects its massing, and a continuous exterior wall that establishes visual identity and boundary.
- Strategic orientation was used to create a dynamic visual axis: the main façade is rotated to face the entrance of the business district along Road 90, positioning the building as a symbolic threshold to the area.
- Material selection, detailing, and form work together to deliver a workspace that meets international corporate standards while reflecting local architectural heritage.
