- El-Tawfiq Mosque is situated on a quarter-circle plot in New Cairo, with its entrance aligned along the gently curving street edge. The Qibla wall is set diagonally toward the site’s far corner, creating a sense of seclusion while reinforcing the spiritual orientation of the space. The mosque sits at the heart of the site, framed by the men’s ablution area, service wing, and main entrance in a balanced layout. Its architecture unfolds through staggered, telescopic walls that rise toward a central skylight, evoking ascension and divine focus. A sculptural minaret, composed of layered vertical forms, echoes the mosque’s geometry and serves as a visible urban landmark.
- Inside, a women’s mezzanine is softly lit through high-set openings for privacy, while ground-floor windows connect the prayer hall to the landscape. A fully glazed Qibla wall opens directly to a garden, blurring boundaries between worship and nature, and offering a tranquil, contemplative setting.
