Al-Aemah AL-Arbah Mosque

  • Situated in the heart of New Cairo, Al-A’emah Al-Arba’ah Mosque offers a congruous blend of tradition and modernity amidst the rapidly growing urban district. Its open plan maintains a 360° visual connection with its surroundings, while an expansive forecourt accommodates overflow gatherings during major prayers. Architecturally, the mosque embraces refined simplicity. The layout emphasizes clarity and order, particularly in the alignment of prayer rows. A private, accessible women’s mezzanine features carved wood lattice screens that balance privacy and aesthetic.
  • Traditional elements—including the minaret, mihrab, and a central skylight—are interpreted in a restrained modern language, enriched by the use of natural stone and glass reinforced cladding screens. These materials add warmth, texture, and a sense of permanence to the serene interior. Rooted in tradition but responsive to contemporary urban life, the mosque creates a calm, contemplative environment that reflects both faith and modern functionality.
